PLATO is here!! |
|
Can you figure fractions? Really get geometry? Vexed by vectors? Don’t know an adverb from an adjective? Well, PLATO is here to help! All the branches of the First Regional Library have PLATO available on their public access computers for use within the Library. People interested in earning their GED, high school students who want to improve their grades or score higher on the ACT, parents homeschooling their children, or people justwanting to brush up on a subject they took in high school - will all benefit from using PLATO. Courses available in the Library include Communications Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and History as well as courses on Life and Work Skills. The courses are fun and easy to use - and folks will learn something, too! These classes will take a patron from about the 3rd grade all the way through two years of college. If you have any questions or comments about PLATO, please contact Catherine Nathan, Coordinator of the PLATO Project and the Assistant Director for Public Services at the First Regional Library (662-429-4439). |
